Youth Empowerment Program

Empowering the Youth

At TELDs, we are committed to advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through our work to empower Ghanaian youth. Our programs and initiatives align with several SDGs, reflecting our dedication to creating positive social, economic, and environmental impact in Ghana.

SDG 4: Quality Education : We believe that education is the key to unlocking human potential and driving sustainable development. By providing youth with access to quality education, including STEM education, leadership training, and empowerment workshops, we contribute to this goal by ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education for all.

SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth: Youth unemployment remains a significant challenge in Ghana, with many young people facing barriers to accessing decent work and economic opportunities. Through our entrepreneurship workshops and leadership development programs, we empower youth to create their own employment opportunities, thereby contributing to this goal by promoting sustained, inclusive, and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment, and decent work for all.

SDG 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure :
Innovation and technological advancement are crucial drivers of economic growth and development. Our focus on STEM education and entrepreneurship equips youth with the skills and knowledge needed to innovate, create new industries, and build resilient infrastructure, in line with this goal building resilient infrastructure, promoting inclusive and sustainable industrialization, and fostering innovation.

SDG 5: Gender Equality:
Promoting gender equality and empowering women and girls is central to our mission at TELDs. We strive to ensure that all of our programs are inclusive and accessible to young people of all genders, with a particular emphasis on empowering girls and young women to pursue leadership roles, entrepreneurship, and STEM education, in alignment with this goal- achieving gender equality and empowering all women and girls.

SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals :
Achieving the SDGs requires collaboration and partnership across sectors and stakeholders. At TELDs, we actively seek partnerships with government agencies, NGOs, businesses, educational institutions, and community organizations to amplify our impact and scale our efforts. Through strategic partnerships, we contribute to goal 17 – strengthening the means of implementation and revitalizing the global partnership for sustainable development.
